The Role
As a Biohazard Crime Scene Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing locations impacted by biohazardous materials, including crime scenes, accidents, and other traumatic events. You will work closely with law enforcement, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a respectful and effective cleaning process.
What You'll Do
- Respond to emergency calls and assess the scene to determine the appropriate cleaning procedures.
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials according to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Use specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals to sanitize and restore affected areas.
- Document the cleaning process and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide updates on the cleaning progress.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in biohazard cleaning.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in cleaning or restoration services, preferably in biohazard or trauma scene cleaning.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to biohazard handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with clients in distress.
Nice to Have
- Certification in biohazard cleaning or related fields.
- Experience working in emergency response or law enforcement environments.
