Restoration Technician II

Core Responsibilities:

• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Inspect damaged properties to determine the type and extent of contamination (water, fire, smoke, mold, bio-hazards, etc.)
• Evaluate the potential for salvaging materials or structures.
• Document findings with photos, sketches, and detailed reports.
• Remediation Process:
• Set up containment areas to prevent the spread of contamination.
• Operate specialized equipment like dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and negative air machines.
• Remove contaminated materials, including drywall, flooring, and insulation.
• Clean and disinfect affected surfaces, furniture, and belongings.
• Apply necessary treatments like antimicrobials for mold mitigation.
• Reconstruction:
• Perform basic demolition and removal of non-salvageable structures.
• Customer Service:
• Explain the remediation process and potential costs to clients.
• Communicate timelines and project updates effectively.
• Handle client concerns or questions with patience and professionalism.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Strictly follow all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to industry standards (like IICRC guidelines) and company procedures.
• Understand and comply with local and federal regulations related to remediation.
