As a Senior Medical Affairs Associate at RXMD, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the medical affairs strategy of our healthcare clients. You will work closely with both the medical affairs team and the public relations team to develop and implement strategies that enhance the story, brand and corporate visibility of our healthcare clients. You will engage with target audiences, and build positive relationships with medical experts, policy makers, regulators, and other healthcare stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


Managerial Responsibilities: Account/Managerial Responsibilities: Oversee junior employees' work and assist in management of assigning key tasks to employees daily. Monitoring and guide junior development. Oversee internal communications.


Medical Landscape Assessment: Conduct competitive landscape assessments and pipeline analyses for various disease and therapeutic areas. Collect and analyze client data to provide actionable insights. Collate, review, and analyze relevant medical literature analyses. Track and disseminate relevant medical publications.


Healthcare Content Creation: Develop and craft compelling publications in peer reviewed journals, scientific articles, scientific posters and podium presentations, and other content tailored to the healthcare industry, effectively communicating our healthcare clients’ key messages and achievements.


Healthcare Communications: Analyze and effectively translate information about client products, industry, and scientific and medical data. Serve as “resident expert” on clients’ business, products, industry and objectives. Communicate relevant information through various channels including standard response documents, medical publications, presentations, and collateral education. Respond to internal and external inquiries and provide analysis and recommendations as needed.


Healthcare Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing scientific advisory boards and medical expert forums with Key Opinion Leaders. Facilitate client attendance at internationally recognized medical congresses, ensuring visibility and engagement with the broader scientific community.


 Healthcare Crisis Management: Act as a spokesperson and assist in healthcare crisis communication strategies when necessary, maintaining the healthcare clients’ reputation during challenging times.


Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align healthcare medical affairs and public affairs efforts for our clients with their goals.


Schedule:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • 8-hour shift
  • 8:30am - 5:30pm (in-person)
  • Monday to Friday


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, public health or a related field required.
  • Graduate degree (in process or completed) in medicine, healthcare, life sciences, or biomedical engineering preferred.
  • 2- 4 year agency medical affair or medical communication experience required ideally serving clients within the healthcare sector
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and general medical and scientific principles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Strong experience and background with scientific and medical literature and facility with translating complex biomedical material into easily digestible language and formats
  • Creativity and a keen eye for healthcare storytelling
  • Capacity to think both strategically and analytically
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
