This position will require a high level of understanding of new construction including but not limited to the ability to read & understand engineering plans, handle construction calculations, job layouts, and perform shop quality control as you’ll be responsible to produce a finished product to exhibition quality standards, while adhering to supervisor directions. 


This role has multiple growth opportunities for an individual that is interested in management. Upon the completion of training and 3-6 successful months with ROXBOX, advancement is possible. 


Job Details:

  • Full-time, hourly employment with benefits
  • Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm | 1 hr lunch | Nights and weekends as necessary |
  • Reports to the Head of Production
  • Work area is in a warehouse environment 
  • Jeans and work shirts. Steel toe shoes/boots required along with PPE (Safety glasses, gloves, masks, respirator, etc.)
  • Location near FM 529 Rd 77041 and US 290



Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all finish work in the shop including framing(metal and wood), hanging drywall and other wall panels, setting countertops and cabinetry, trim work, flooring (epoxy/LVT/laminate), caulking, bodywork, and painting 
  • Ensure adequate supplies and inventories to complete job scope
  • Assign tasks to subordinate team members
  • Support the steel lead in achieving deadlines
  • Perform all finish related activities at ROXBOX
  • Ensure all finish machines, equipment, and tools are in working order
  • Create SOPs for new processes 
  • Ensure team members are following the correct SOPs
  • Assist in the guidance of general laborers and junior level fabricators and carpenters
  • Work in the shop, container yard, and on construction sites (minimal field time) to complete jobs on time and on budget, while working effectively with others
  • Layout, fit, and complete work on building components with guidance from your supervisor 
  • Work directly with the Head of Production for daily updates

Requirements:

  • Carpentry & general construction experience
  • Minimum 7 years of construction/carpentry experience required
  • Must work efficiently in order to meet tight timelines
  • Understanding of shop techniques and building fundamentals
  • Must have a great work ethic and ability to work effectively with others

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bilingual
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Previous trade show experience
  • Creativity in finish aspects and problem solving
  • Experience driving forklifts and / or forklift certification
  • Safety certifications (i.e. OSHA, etc.)
