Job Description:

As a Construction Manager Intern at RoxBox Containers, Inc. you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of container modification and construction management. This internship is designed to provide you with practical insights into the construction industry, project management, and the exciting world of container modification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of container modification projects, including reviewing project requirements, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Quality Control: Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all modifications meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations
• Site Management: Support the supervision and management of on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, safety inspections, and progress tracking.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, and construction records.
• Material Procurement: Assist in the procurement of construction materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Cost Tracking: Assist in tracking project costs and budgeting to ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
• Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and guidelines on construction sites, prioritizing the well-being of all team members.
• Problem-solving: Identify and address any construction-related issues or challenges promptly and effectively.
• Learning and Development: Take advantage of this internship to learn from experienced construction managers and gain a deeper understanding of construction techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Currently in Senior academic year & pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field,
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.

Duration and Compensation:

• This opportunity has the potential to be a Temp to Hire opportunity contingent on how the Intern performs.  
• Compensation range - $20 - 25 per hour depending on experience, knowledge and skill set.  

Job Details:

• Full-time, salary employment with benefits
• Monday - Friday | occasional weekends / nights
• Reports to the Director of Operations
• Work will be performed in an office with frequent visits to the manufacturing floor. Some remote or site visits as needed
• Casual dress code
• Location near FM 529 Rd 77041 and US 290
