About this Position

Romero Academies' teachers partner with families to form future saints by developing the intellect, forming the character, and engaging the faith of each scholar. We are looking for a highly dedicated educator who brings an unwavering commitment to helping every scholar achieve their God-given potential. This position is for a part-time aide role in a self-contained PreKindergarten classroom with no more than 24 four-year-olds for the 2026 - 2027 school year.


We are looking for an Instructional Aide with the following beliefs and characteristics:

The primary responsibilities of an Instructional Aide include:

  • The ability to “jump in” where needed, including:
  • Serving as a classroom aide in PK
  • Leading targeted small group instruction
  • Maintaining a learning environment where every scholar feels safe, loved, and inspired to learn and grow.
  • Supporting a school culture focused on faith, academic achievement, and character development.


Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting instruction with rigor, joy, and urgency.
  • Support meaningful student achievement and growth results aligned to school’s mission and annual goals.
  • Implement school-wide systems for academics, culture, and character development.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with students and parents that drive students to love learning and make exceptional academic gains.
  • Commit to an extended school year.
  • Help students develop a personal relationship with Christ.



The ideal candidate will bring experience, skills, and beliefs in the following areas:

  • Progress toward a degree in elementary education and/or teaching certification and a desire to help students grow in faith, virtue, and intellect is required.
  • A passion for being part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
  • Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of traditionally underserved students.
  • Spanish fluency is preferred.
  • The ability to be flexible in a fast-paced school environment that is responsive to students’ needs.
  • VIRTUS certification (Protecting God’s Children); can be earned after hired.

Salary

$18 - $22 per hour
