RocketCup Coffee is opening its newest location inside the Golisano Institute for Business in downtown Buffalo.  This is a hub built for students, entrepreneurs, and the surrounding community. Over the last year, the Institute has revitalized the Buffalo News building on Washington Street, and we're looking for our founding barista team to help bring the space to life.

What You'll Do

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Craft espresso-based and brewed coffee drinks to RocketCup's quality standards
• Operate and maintain the espresso machine and other café equipment
• Prepare food items and sandwiches for the café menu
• Stock, receive, and organize inventory and supplies
• Handle catering orders for events and offices, including packing, staging, and delivering orders on and near campus
• Greet guests, take orders, and create a welcoming experience
• Keep the café clean, organized, and running smoothly, following all health and safety guidelines
• Pitch in wherever the team needs support. This is a hands-on, all-in role

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, required for catering deliveries
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and standing/moving for a full shift
• Food service / hospitality experience highly recommended
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in people
• Ability to multitask and stay steady during a fast-paced rush
• Motivation to learn RocketCup's coffee craft and grow with the company
• Scheduling flexibility, including some nights, weekends, and campus event hours
• Hours of the cafe will be approximately 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday. These are subject to change.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This wage reflects our good-faith range for this role at the time of posting. This is a non-tipped position. Your full hourly wage is guaranteed; no tip credit is applied.
