Our Event Dj's are outgoing & passionate team members who want to move the dance floor through song. Events include weddings, school dance, bar/bat mitzvahs, and corporate events. We are casting for team members that fit the Rock The House style of youthful, energetic, and modern. Rock The House provides cutting edge technology for our performers, but we are looking for the best of the best to operate and perform at events. If you fit this description, then we want you!
Description
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Be the face and the voice of the special event by making the clients most important day memorable
- Communicate and coordinate with all onsite vendors and clients
- Play awesome music
- Announce all formalities, introductions, and announcements
- Create an atmosphere of energy, interest, and expectation
- Read and adapt to the crowd and your clients expectations
- Pre-event planning music programming
- Assist with load in / load out
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
- Public speaking
- Rhythm
- An awesome smile
- Positive attitude
- Natural leader AND team player
- Basic knowledge of multiple genres and decades of music
- Basic microphone skills preferred, but willing to train if you're willing to learn!
- DJ and basic mixing skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with all styles of crowds including children, teens, adults, and seniors
- Professional in dress and performance
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Be available to work on average (3) weekends a month (during the week is a PLUS)
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean record
- Experience in the event industry is a PLUS
