Overview:
RMD Luxury Window Treatments is seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Treatment Specialist to join our team. This role involves the professional installation, repair, and maintenance of various window treatments, as well as the pickup and delivery of products and installation of wallpaper. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Measure windows accurately to determine the appropriate sizes for treatments.
- Install window treatments, including blinds, shades, curtains, drapes, and shutters, ensuring secure and precise fittings.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing window treatments as needed.
- Product Handling:
- Pick up and deliver window treatments, fabrics, and other products from suppliers to clients' locations.
- Ensure all products are transported safely and securely.
- Wallpaper Installation:
- Prepare walls and apply wallpaper with precision and care.
- Ensure seamless patterns and professional finishes.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, including consultations, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
- Conduct follow-up visits to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues.
- Workroom Support:
- Assist in the custom workroom with the preparation and assembly of window treatments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on the latest trends, products, and techniques in window treatments and wallpaper installation.
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in window treatment installation, carpentry, or interior design.
- Proficiency in wallpaper installation.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site at clients' homes or businesses.
- Occasional work in the custom workroom for fittings and adjustments.
- Regular travel within the greater Washington, DC area for pickups, deliveries, and installations.
