Custodian Job Description
A Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within assigned buildings or facilities. This role performs routine cleaning duties, ensures supplies are stocked, and supports the overall maintenance of the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, and mop.
- Wipe down surfaces, including counters, tables, and equipment.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials.
- Restock bathroom and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure safe storage of materials.
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly.
