As an Toddler Teacher, you’ll be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers (12-36mo). You’ll foster strong relationships with families and help lay the foundation for each child’s growth.
What You’ll Do
- Provide loving, attentive care to toddlers in a safe and stimulating setting
- Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, language development, problem-solving, and social interaction
- Support toddlers in developing independence with self-help skills (e.g., feeding, toileting, handwashing)
- Guide positive behavior and help children learn to express emotions and interact with peers
- Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with the classroom team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning
- Uphold all licensing, health, and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with toddlers (12–36 months) in a childcare or early education setting
- A heart for young children and a commitment to supporting their growth and independence
- Patience and skill in guiding toddlers through big developmental milestones (language, behavior, toilet learning, social skills)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to partner with families and colleagues
- ECE coursework or willingness to pursue required training
- Must meet state licensing requirements, including background check
