Job Title: Server

Location: Rita's on the River, San Antonio, TX

Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Closed on Sundays)

Overview:

Rita's on the River is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Servers to join our team! As a server, you will be the face of Rita’s, delivering exceptional service and ensuring every guest has an unforgettable dining experience in our lively, Tex-Mex restaurant located on the beautiful River Walk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, promptly seating and introducing the menu.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, offering menu suggestions and answering any questions about our dishes or drinks.
• Ensure that food and beverages are delivered to guests in a timely manner.
• Maintain attentive service throughout the meal, refilling drinks and checking in with guests.
• Handle payments efficiently and accurately, adhering to Rita's cash and credit card procedures.
• Assist with side work, such as restocking, cleaning, and preparing the dining area for the next shift.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.
• Follow all health and safety standards, as well as company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations, guest service, and overall team success.

Qualifications:

• Applicants for this role must be at minimum 18 years old.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Specifically, Monday through Saturday (Rita's is closed on Sundays).
• Previous casual dining server experience is preferred. We are happy to train the right person either way. Knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine and drinks is a plus though.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Maintains a positive attitude, teamwork mentality, strong communication, and professional customer service skills.
• Food Handler's Certification (or be willing to obtain it).
• Texas Alcohol & Beverage Commission Certification (or be willing to obtain it).
• Ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house and back-of-house team members in a team-oriented environment.
