At Rita’s on the River, our hosts and hostesses are the first impression guests have of our restaurant—and we want that impression to feel warm, friendly, and full of Texas hospitality. As a host/hostess, you’ll greet and seat guests, manage waitlists, and help create a welcoming environment that reflects the vibrant energy of the River Walk.
Description
As a Host/Hostess at Rita’s on the River, you’ll be the welcoming face of the restaurant—greeting guests with warmth, managing the flow of seating, and helping create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience from the moment guests arrive. Your role is key to setting the tone for exceptional service on San Antonio’s iconic River Walk.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests with a friendly and upbeat attitude
- Manage walk-ins through the waitlist system
- Seat guests efficiently and evenly throughout the restaurant
- Answer guest questions and provide accurate wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and entrance
- Assist with menu handouts and support other FOH staff as needed
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and managers
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout every shift
Requirements:
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and during major downtown events
- Previous hosting experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
