The Rising Tide HR Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, analyzing payroll data, and auditing payroll information to support our portfolio of client’s financial and operational goals. This role will also collaborate with the HR Business Partner team to ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable legal requirements.
What Leads To The Success Of This Position:
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all clients, including exempt, non-exempt, and commissioned employees.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
- Audit payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance. Prepare detailed payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as company policies. Monitor payroll tax filings, deductions, and contributions (e.g., 401(k), health benefits, etc.).
- Address employee payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolution to payroll discrepancies.
- Collaborate with client’s, the HRBP team, and external vendors to manage and improve payroll software systems, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Support benefit-related deductions, calculations, and compliance, coordinating with the HR team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state small to mid size organization.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Gusto, Paylocity, UKG, or other relevant software) and payroll integration in ERP systems.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (vLookups, pivot tables, etc.).
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
