Rise Counseling Group is looking for Social Workers, Counselors, and Marriage and Family Therapists (with at least 1 year of therapeutic experience) to provide long term insight oriented and trauma therapy to individuals, families, and groups in a diverse and supportive environment.

Rise Counseling Group, a Social Justice focused private practice based in Dayton, OH is looking for full-time psychotherapists to join our team. You will provide long-term, insight-oriented therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The physical office is in Dayton, OH, but we also see clients remotely throughout the state. Therapists must hold an Ohio License (LSW/MSW, MA/LPC, etc.) in the State of Ohio with at least one year of experience providing therapy; private practice experience is preferred but not required.


Therapists must be passionate about working with women of color, incorporating social justice issues/ theory, and providing care focusing on women's issues. Previous training and development in areas of cultural awareness, social justice, and trauma are required. Clinicians must be committed to providing culturally appropriate services and taking the necessary training and continuing education in alignment with the practice’s mission and vision (Improving the mental health and well-being of black women, teen girls, and other women of color). Candidates should also strongly desire to focus on issues of intersectionality, specifically race, gender, and sexuality, and their role in clients' depression, anxiety, and trauma. Therapists must also do some community outreach and facilitate workshops and support groups. 


Rise Counseling Group’s administrative staff handles all client onboarding, billing, and payment collection. Clinical Manager and/or Director provide supervision, support, and other training. Candidate must be independent, driven, and collaborative, enhancing our fun, connected, and positive-minded group of clinicians. Clinicians must also be dependable for client care and great problem solvers. Rise Counseling Group requires at least two evenings per week or one evening and one weekend day available for client sessions. Weekends are not a requirement but an option to fulfill availability.

Principle Duties:

  • Work with adolescents/teens, adults, couples (or other relationship statuses), families, and groups
  • Works with the Clinical Manager and other therapists on staff to coordinate services.
  • Ensure quality services are provided.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Provide evidence-based, culturally aware care
  • Deliver training and workshops as needed
  • Provide group support at least 1x per year

Hours needed:

  • Daytime to evening 10a-7p, 9a-4p
  • Evening 5 pm-9 pm, M-R
  • Friday 9a-2p
  • Saturday 8a-12p

Administrative duties:

  • Complete administrative paperwork ON TIME
  • Support referral efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements are:

  • Current State of Ohio license as an LSW/LPC/MFT; independent license welcomed
  • FT- Minimum of 32 clinical hours available per week, total 35 hours per week (2 hrs supervision if dependently licensed & 1 hr weekly staff meeting)
  • be available to work two evenings per week to 7 pm (this can be done online or in person)
  • Minimum of one year of direct therapeutic experience, diagnosing and treating clients
  • Committed to Social Justice and improving the lives of marginalized populations- especially Black women and teens
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus but not required.
  • Open to EMDR & Psychodynamic orientation
  • Attendance for weekly staff meetings and supervision, monthly case consultations, and quarterly training

Required education:

  • Master's in Social Work
  • Master’s in Counseling
  • Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy


We hire year-round depending on office needs.


Before starting, all candidates offered a position must obtain their NP1#, CAQH #, and OH Medicaid ID#. 


COVID-19 considerations:

This is a hybrid position. At least two days in the office are required due to in-person requests.


Salary

$36 - $49.5 per hour
