Rise Counseling Group is looking for master’s level therapists to provide long term insight oriented and trauma therapy to individuals, families, and groups in a diverse and supportive environment.

Rise Counseling Group, a Social Justice focused private practice in Dayton, is looking for full-time psychotherapists to join our team. You will be able to provide long-term, insight-oriented therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The physical office is in Dayton, OH but we also see clients remotely. Requirements include being licensed at the Master's level (LSW/MSW, MA/LPC, etc.) in the State of Ohio with at least one year of post-graduate experience providing therapy, private practice experience is preferred but not required.


Therapists must be passionate about working with women of color and providing care focusing on women's issues. Previous training and development in areas of cultural awareness and social justice are required and clinicians must be committed to providing culturally appropriate services. They will also strongly desire to focus on issues of intersectionality, specifically race and gender and its role in clients' depression and anxiety. The ideal therapist will also have the desire to do community outreach and women's/ teen girl groups for women of color. EMDR training is a plus.


Rise Counseling Group will provide referrals, training, and support. Candidate must be independent, driven, collaborative and enhance our fun, connected, and positive-minded group of clinicians. Clinicians must also be dependable for client care. Candidate must be willing to run at least one group per quarter. The candidate will also need at least two evenings per week or one evening and one weekend day available for client sessions. Weekends are not a requirement but an option to fulfill availability.

Principle Duties:

  • Work with adolescents/teens, adults, couples (or other relationship statuses), families, and groups
  • Works with Clinical Director and other therapists on staff to coordinate services.
  • Ensure quality services are provided.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Provide evidenced-based, culturally aware care
  • Deliver training and workshops as needed
  • Provide group support

Hours needed:

  • Daytime 8 am-4 pm, M-F
  • Evening 5 pm-8 pm, M-R
  • Saturday is based around clinician preference to meet 35-hour requirement
  • Sunday is based around clinician preference to meet 35-hour requirement
  • Available for 32 client hours to yield about 25-27 sessions per week, total 35 hours with meetings

Administrative duties:

  • Complete administrative paperwork in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements are:

  • Current State of Ohio license as an LSW/LPC/MFT; independent license preferred
  • Available 35 hours per week to yield 25-27 sessions per week
  • Minimum 1-year post-master experience
  • Committed to Social Justice and improving the lives of marginalized populations- especially African American women and teens
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus but not required
  • Some community networking through EAPs or Speaking Requests
  • Open to EMDR & Psychodynamic orientation

Required education:

  • Master's in Social Work
  • Master’s in Counseling
  • Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy


We hire year-round depending on office needs.


Job Types: Full-time

Pay: Base admin rate + Dependently licensed- 50-60% or Independently licensed- 55-65% reimbursement

Paid bi-weekly

All candidates offered a position must obtain their NP1#, CAQH #, and OH Medicaid ID# before starting.

We are both remote and in-person. If you are in Dayton, you can have a hybrid schedule.
