Rigid Security is a growing security systems integration company specializing in commercial security systems, surveillance cameras, access control, alarm systems, and structured cabling. We work with businesses, nonprofits, healthcare facilities, and multi-site organizations across New York. We are looking for a motivated Low Voltage Technician who is reliable, detail-oriented, and interested in growing in the security and technology industry.
• Install, terminate, and test Cat6 network cabling
• Install and mount security cameras (CCTV systems)
• Install access control systems (card readers, strikes, REX devices)
• Install and service alarm systems
• Mount equipment including cameras, access points, racks, and panels
• Label and document cabling installations
• Troubleshoot network and security system issues
• Work with project managers to complete installations on schedule
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment on job sites
• 1–3+ years experience in low voltage or security system installation
• Experience with Cat5e / Cat6 cable termination
• Ability to use basic tools (drill, fish tape, toner, punch down, crimpers)
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience installing EMT conduit
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders
• OSHA or low-voltage certification
