We offer full spectrum family medicine care including preventative care, annual wellness exams, pap smears, contraceptive care, well child/adolescent exams, immunizations, DOT exams, and sports physicals. The treatment of acute illness in adults and pediatric patients is our focus along with chronic care management of conditions like diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. We can offer integrative and holistic modalities including nutrition, therapeutic lifestyle counseling, acupuncture and telepsychiatry and mental health services. We will help facilitate specialist referral when needed and assist you with your insurance prior authorization process. We have daily access available for urgent care needs and are able to perform minor procedures like skin lesion treatment and removal and laceration repair. Description

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
  • Certification in medical assistance

We are looking for an experienced medical assistant to join a collegial team of medical providers in a family practice clinic. We serve the Ridgefield and Woodland communities, in two primary clinics, caring for the community for the last 17 years. Your should have at least 2 years of solid experience as medical assistant.

We use Athena EMR, so computer skills a must. The ideal candidate should be personable, caring, and a team player. We offer a flexible, supportive environment and care about your personal and professional well being.
