Ridgebury Farm is a non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to promoting holistic healing and well-being through nature-based Occupational, physical, and Speech therapy. We believe in the power of outdoor settings, mindfulness, and ecological connection to support overall health. Our programs integrate traditional therapeutic approaches with licensed practitioners with outdoor activities, equine-assisted therapy (hippotherapy), horticulture, and wilderness experiences. About Ridgebury Farm & Stables, LLC & Ridgebury Riders, Inc. Ridgebury Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports mental and physical health through animal-assisted therapies. Our mission is to increase the health and well-being of people with intellectual, social, or physical challenges, and to build a supportive and optimistic environment for our riders, their families and friends, and our community. Ridgebury Riders was founded in 2021 and is headquartered at Ridgebury Farm, a 56-acre property that includes multiple riding arenas, private trails, and horses, sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, and bunnies.

Description

Note: This position will start as part-time, between 20-30 hours per week. As the role grows, there may be an opportunity for full-time, 30-40 hours per week. Full-time employees are eligible for health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and 401k matching and paid time off. .


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Manage scheduling, communications, and recordkeeping for therapy sessions and organizational events
  • Assist in onboarding and coordinating staff, therapists, and volunteers
  • Maintain client files, consent forms, and compliance documentation in accordance with HIPAA and nonprofit standards
  • Support grant reporting, board communications, and general administrative tasks
  • Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries related to services, appointments, and general farm operations

Billing:

  • Enter and manage transactions in QuickBooks (invoicing, payments, categorization).
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records in coordination with the Director of Finance.
  • Familiar with Medical Billing procedures/standards is preferred.  



Data Management and Reporting:

  • Create and update spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel for tracking hours, budgets, or operational data.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports as requested.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative support and medical billing (required)
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or healthcare/therapy setting (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in billing software (Quickbooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of CPT codes, insurance reimbursement procedures, and claim resolution
  • Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
