Position Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AVP of Reporting and Analysis to join our data and technology team, supporting enterprise-wide reporting efforts related to Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR). This elevated role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of reporting across all functional areas of the organization while driving strategic reporting initiatives.
The AVP will manage a broad portfolio of reporting needs across the mortgage servicing lifecycle, including operational, financial, and compliance-related reporting. In addition to hands-on reporting and analysis, this individual will take ownership of reporting strategy, lead key projects such as implementing advanced reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI), and ensure all external reporting meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. While initially an individual contributor role, this position may offer the opportunity to manage contract reporting analysts and developers and potentially build a small team as the function grows.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Strategic Reporting Leadership: Own the development and continuous improvement of reporting frameworks and processes to align with evolving business needs.
· Regulatory & Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly MBFRF and NMLS reports, state-level reporting, and support regulatory exams.
· Data Management & Vendor Coordination: Manage daily subservicer data feeds, vendor sFTP data exchanges (e.g., document custodians), and ensure data integrity.
· Exception & Risk Monitoring: Maintain document exception reporting suite, compile MERS monthly exceptions, and support delinquency strategy.
· Industry & Investor Reporting: Complete Inside Mortgage Finance reporting, repurchase reporting, and other investor-related submissions.
· Project Leadership: Serve as the lead for implementing advanced reporting solutions such as Power BI and other analytics tools.
· Quality Assurance: Ensure all external reporting is thoroughly reviewed for accuracy and compliance before distribution outside the organization.
· Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with business units to gather requirements, validate data, and maintain consistent reporting standards.
· SQL Development: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from enterprise systems.
· Data Validation & Documentation: Perform data reconciliation and document reporting processes, data sources, and methodologies to support transparency and repeatability.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and standardize reporting to reduce manual effort.
· Leadership Development: Mentor junior analysts and manage contract reporting analysts and developers to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
· 5+ years of hands-on SQL coding experience, including writing complex queries and working with large datasets.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
· Experience working with mortgage servicing data or in a financial services environment.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
· Experience supporting state regulatory reporting in the mortgage industry.
· Familiarity with MSR data structures and reporting requirements.
