Rhythm & Truth is seeking a passionate Music Therapist (MT-BC or board certification eligible) to join our award-winning creative arts therapy team in Los Angeles. This part-time position offers $31–$38/hour, a flexible schedule, and a clear pathway to full-time employment with benefits. The role is ideal for a music therapist who enjoys working with diverse populations in community-based settings, including youth mental health, neurodivergent individuals, schools, treatment programs, and underserved communities. Rhythm & Truth is seeking a passionate Music Therapist to join our growing team serving children, youth, adults, families, and communities throughout Los Angeles County.


Founded in 2008, Rhythm & Truth provides trauma-informed creative arts therapy services in schools, homes, treatment programs, community organizations, healthcare settings, and public events. In 2026, Rhythm & Truth was recognized as SBA Ventura Business of the Year, and founder Summer Lall, MT-BC, was named SBA Los Angeles Small Business Person of the Year.

Qualifications

Required


  • MT-BC or board certification eligible (interns are encouraged to apply)
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
  • Reliable computer and internet access
  • Strong skills in guitar, voice, piano, and/or percussion
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout Los Angeles County for services


Preferred


  • Spanish-speaking or multilingual
  • Experience with youth mental health
  • Experience with neurodivergent populations
  • Songwriting, music production, and/or drum circle facilitation experience
  • Interest in program development and community engagement
