Responsibilities:

1. Virtual Instruction: Conduct virtual computer science classes for middle school students using platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. Collaborate with in-person classroom facilitator to deliver instruction to students.
2. Curriculum Delivery: Implement the Rex K-12 computer science curriculum effectively, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.
3. Engagement: Foster a positive and interactive learning environment that engages students in computer science concepts and activities.
4. Assessment: Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Keep track of data points within the curriculum. Provide feedback to Rex K-12 on product improvements.
5. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest computer science education trends and methodologies, participating in ongoing training as required.
6. Communication: Collaborate with the Rex K-12 team and school partners to ensure smooth program delivery and address any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education or related field.
• Must be a US citizen or legal resident and must live in the United States. No exceptions.
• Must be able to commit to a full time teaching schedule, typically 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, in the Pacific Time Zone.
• Ability to obtain teaching certification if not already certified.
• Strong passion for working with middle school students.
• Computer science knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Excellent virtual teaching and communication skills.
• Adaptable and able to work effectively in an online teaching environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus.
