Rex K-12 is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic After School Club Teacher to join our team in the Denver area. These temporary positions will involve instructing middle school students in various technology-related subjects, including 2D Game Development and Digital Arts. The primary focus of these teachers will be to ensure consistent attendance and facilitate engaging learning experiences for students. The post will begin immediately and end in June with options for full time summer work and possible permanent positions in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct after-school classes for middle school students in one or more of the offered subjects.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and participation of students.
  • Utilize our comprehensive curriculum and teaching materials effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to students as they explore technology concepts.
  • Foster a love for technology and learning among students.
  • Collaborate with other camp teachers and staff to enhance the overall camp experience.
  • Attend training sessions provided by Rex K-12 to become familiar with the curriculum and teaching methods.


Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen or legal resident, legally able to work in the US. No sponsorships or exceptions will be given. All non-residents will be denied.
  • Must be available Wednesdays from 1:30-4:00pm.
  • HS Diploma. Preference for those with an associate's, bachelor's or eligible certifications in education or computer science.
  • Passion for working with middle school students and fostering their interest in technology.
  • Must live in the Denver area or able to commute. This is an on-site position in a physical school location. There is no relocation for this position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to teach for approximately 2 hours per day, twice a week (Monday-Thursday) during the specified project periods.
  • No prior certification or computer science expertise required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to adapt and engage students in various technology subjects.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check.


Salary

$18.5 - $30 per hour
