About Us

TLG Building Services is a tech-focused property management company specializing in the upkeep and improvement of residential rental properties. We manage a diverse portfolio, from single-family rentals to multi-unit apartment buildings, ensuring each property is safe, well-maintained, and move-in ready. Our team works closely with owners, tenants, and vendors to deliver high-quality results with minimal disruption.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Service Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance needs of our managed properties. This role is central to three main areas:

  1. Daily Maintenance Requests – Responding to work orders quickly and professionally.
  2. Apartment Turns – Preparing units for new tenants between leases.
  3. Project Work – Assisting with full rehab and renovation projects to convert investment properties into rentals.

The ideal candidate is a versatile problem-solver with general maintenance skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to quality workmanship. We welcome applications from both experienced technicians and motivated candidates looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced property management environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to daily maintenance work orders (plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, appliance repair, etc.).
  • Complete apartment turnover tasks including cleaning, painting, fixture replacement, and minor repairs to prepare units for leasing.
  • Assist with renovation and rehab projects on properties being flipped into rentals, including demolition, installations, and property upgrades.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to maintain safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and other maintenance team members.
  • Ensure job sites remain clean, safe, and secure during and after work.
  • Participate in on-call rotations or respond to emergency repair requests when needed.

Qualifications

  • Property maintenance, construction, or related trade experience preferred — but we are open to training motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
  • Working knowledge (or willingness to learn) plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and carpentry.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong customer service skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in property management or multi-family housing.
  • Familiarity with work order tracking systems or property management software.
  • Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) a plus but not required.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay: $20–$30/hr depending on experience.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunities for advancement within a growing company.
  • Supportive, team-oriented work environment.

Salary
