Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your energy and commitment will help foster meaningful progress in clients’ social, communication, and daily living skills. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education.

Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients' development and independence
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote self-care skills
  • Collect data on client behaviors
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop, update, and follow personalized care plans
  • Support teaching sessions by reinforcing positive behaviors and managing challenging behaviors through effective behavior management strategies
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for client confidentiality
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages growth, learning, and emotional well-being for clients

Requirements

  • Ability to assist with ADLs and provide patient care in a compassionate manner
