Restorative Response Baltimore (RRB) is seeking a detail-oriented and community-rooted Community Conferencing Program Manager to manage the daily operations of our flagship Community Conferencing program. This role ensures that trained facilitators are thoughtfully assigned to cases, supported through professional development, and evaluated with care and consistency. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to restorative justice, brings experience in facilitation or mediation, and has strong program management and communication skills. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow as the program expands.

Description

Key Responsibilities

Program Oversight and Coordination

  • Oversee all logistical and operational aspects of the Community Conferencing program.
  • Assign cases to trained facilitators through the My RJ case management system and monitor progress from intake to closure.
  • Ensure consistent and timely communication with facilitators and community members to uphold program integrity and accountability.


Facilitator Support and Evaluation

  • Partner with senior leadership to recruit, onboard, and support new facilitators.
  • Coordinate apprenticeship opportunities and facilitate learning for new facilitators in the field.
  • Deliver ongoing professional development opportunities, including refreshers and skill-building workshops.
  • Conduct performance assessments using RRB's Community Conference rubric and provide strengths-based coaching.
  • Complete and deliver annual evaluations for each facilitator, supporting growth, retention, and accountability.


Recruitment and Hiring

  • Lead outreach efforts to recruit a diverse and representative facilitator pool aligned with RRB's community values.
  • Assist with application review, interviews, and selection of new facilitators in collaboration with the Executive Director and Chief of Staff.

Data, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and timely case data, facilitator assignments, and outcome records using My RJ.
  • Monitor program impact and identify gaps, challenges, or trends.
  • Prepare and present an annual program report with recommendations for quality improvement and strategic growth.


Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in restorative practices, community mediation, conflict resolution, or related facilitation work.
  • Strong program management skills, including managing people, timelines, and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities.
  • Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) My RJ or other digital case management tools.
  • Deep commitment to racial equity, youth empowerment, and community healing practices.
  • Comfort working independently in a hybrid environment, with some in-person availability in Baltimore.


30/60/90-Day Onboarding and Performance Plan

  • The new hire will follow a 30/60/90-day onboarding and performance plan designed to build knowledge, independence, and accountability over the first three months.
  • First 30 Days: Focus on learning RRB's restorative model, programs, systems, and internal processes.
  • By 60 Days Independently manage recurring program responsibilities with minimal support.
  • By 90 Days: Confidently manage the program calendar, documentation and reporting, facilitator coordination, partnerships, and upcoming programming with limited supervision.


Work Schedule and Compensation

  • Part-time, 24 hours per week.
  • Standard schedule: 9:00 AM-2:00 PM Monday-Thursday and 9:00 AM-1:00 PM Friday.
  • A few mandatory evening programs may require availability until approximately 8:00 PM. Daytime hours may be adjusted during those weeks to maintain the part-time schedule.
  • Environment: Hybrid position - a mix of remote administrative work and required in-person participation for staff meetings, program attendance, facilitator evaluations, and other program needs.
  • Annual salary: $36,000.
  • Opportunity for expanded hours or a full-time role as the program scales and funding allows.
