Restorative Response Baltimore is a nonprofit that promotes and supports restorative justice practices across the Baltimore community—helping schools, organizations, and community members use approaches that focus on accountability, healing, relationship-building, and harm repair instead of punishment, and strengthening community-based responses to conflict and harm.

STIPENDED COMMUNITY FACILITATOR • 6–10 ROLES

Essential responsibilities

• Complete RRB’s required Circle Keeper training, coaching, observation, and readiness process
• Prepare for and co-facilitate Accountability Circles, Restorative Reentry/Welcome Home Circles, and related preparation or follow-up sessions.
• Create a respectful environment grounded in voluntary participation, dignity, cultural responsiveness, and emotional safety.
• Guide structured dialogue, support equitable participation, and help participants identify needs, strengths, harms, and actionable agreements.
• Coordinate with RRB staff regarding scheduling, participant readiness, support needs, safety concerns, and follow-up.
• Complete required attendance, activity, agreement, and outcome documentation promptly and accurately
• Maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest; follow RRB policies and restorative-practice standards.

Preferred qualifications

• Strong connection to Penn North/Reservoir Hill or communities affected by incarceration and community violence.
• Ability to listen without judgment, remain grounded during difficult conversations, and support accountability without shame.
• Dependability, emotional maturity, clear boundaries, and willingness to receive feedback and ongoing coaching.
• Prior facilitation, peer support, mediation, community organizing, restorative justice, or lived reentry experience is welcomed but not required when training readiness is demonstrated.

Success indicators

• 6–10 Circle Keepers trained and supported; at least 75% of circles led by community facilitators.
• Circles are conducted with fidelity, documentation is timely, and participants report respectful, meaningful engagement.

Restorative Program Manager; works closely with the Reentry Navigator

$9,000 total; budgeted at $75/hour for 120 combined hours
