Position Summary

Circle Keepers are the heart of RRB’s restorative programs. They facilitate restorative conversations and circles designed to build community, repair harm, and support accountability and healing. Key Responsibilities

Circle Facilitation & Case Support

  • Facilitate restorative circles (community-building, harm, reintegration, and support circles) for youth, families, and staff in community settings.
  • Guide participants through restorative processes that promote accountability, repair, and reintegration.
  • Support participants in identifying harm, taking accountability, and developing actionable agreements.
  • Prepare for each circle with intention—reviewing referral details, identifying potential supports, and establishing a welcoming, structured environment.
  • Use restorative language, affective statements, and questioning techniques aligned with RRB’s facilitation model.
  • Document circle details, agreements, and follow-up actions in MyRJ (RRB’s case management system).


Relationship Building & Community Engagement

  • Build trust with participants through consistent communication, empathy, and presence.
  • Practice cultural humility and trauma-informed approaches to ensure inclusivity and equity of voice.
  • Collaborate with RRB staff and community partners to ensure circles reflect shared values and needs.
  • Represent RRB’s mission and approach in a way that strengthens community partnerships and program integrity.


Professional Growth & Reflection

  • Participate in regular debriefs, coaching sessions, and professional development.
  • Reflect on facilitation practice using tools and feedback from supervisors.
  • Track attendance, outcomes, and trends to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to team meetings and data reviews to assess program impact.


Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth, families, or community organizations (required).
  • Demonstrated facilitation, conflict resolution, or restorative practice experience (required).
  • Demonstrated experience in restorative practices, conflict resolution, social-emotional learning, or related fields (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage sensitive conversations calmly and respectfully.
  • Comfort working in community settings with diverse populations.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work during daytime hours and occasional evenings.
  • Commitment to equity, empathy, and accountability.
