Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Drywall Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in surface preparation, texturing techniques, and finishing, ensuring flawless results on every project. This role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a crew.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for the accurate layout, cutting, and installation of drywall panels, ensuring a seamless canvas for painting. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Layout & Prep: Read blueprints or sketches to plan the layout and accurately measure/mark drywall panels for placement.
- Installation: Cut panels to size and securely attach drywall to wood or metal studs/framework.
- Finishing: Tape, mud, and seal joints and seams to ensure a perfectly smooth, gap-free surface.
- Texturing & Patching: Apply various texturing techniques and perform seamless repairs as needed.
- Safety & Maintenance: Set up and safely work from ladders and scaffolding. Maintain, clean, and organize tools and equipment.
- Site Cleanliness: Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of professional drywall installation and finishing experience.
- Technical Skill: Proficient with industry-standard hand and power tools (drywall saws, routers, T-squares, screw guns, etc.). Strong knowledge of mudding, taping, and texturing techniques.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders/scaffolding, and lift/carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs comfortably).
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and possesses reliable transportation to get to job sites.
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to work seamlessly alongside a crew and interact professionally with clients.
