JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning, relationship building, and sales initiatives within the restoration industry.


JOB TYPE: Full-time


SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, weekends as needed to close sales.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company's customer base and market presence.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, lead generation activities, prospecting, cold-calling, and consultative sales presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance agents, property managers, real estate professionals, plumbers, HVAC companies, public adjusters, and other key stakeholders in the restoration industry.
  • Develop and maintain business revenue through targeted sales strategies, including professional and certified trade partner relationships.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth project execution and excellent customer service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, bids, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to achieve profitable sales outcomes.
  • Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate regular reports to monitor progress against targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and community gatherings to promote brand awareness and foster business relationships.
  • Manage appointment schedules to include new touches, presentations, follow-up calls, and maintaining exceptional internal and external customer communication.
  • Maintain accurate contact and sales documentation.
  • Stay informed about all products and services and stay current with market trends.
  • Address clients’ questions, comments, and concerns to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct effective RESTORE presentations and professional meetings with clients.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and create weekly and monthly sales reports.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Willingness to learn residential and commercial property restoration processes, including water damage mitigation, fire damage restoration, and mold remediation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving goals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Comfortable working on tablets and computers.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to conduct 3-5 lunch & learn presentations per week.
  • Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred.
  • Must be coachable and trainable with a winning mindset.
  • Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven salesperson.


COMPENSATION:

  • Base salary: $50,000 plus uncapped commission.
  • Average earning potential: $70,000-$120,000 annually.
  • Bonus based on performance.
  • A 4% ongoing commission will be paid out on all new water damage mitigation accounts secured by the BDM.
  • Company-provided cell phone.
