Rennscot MFG is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the setup, operation, verification, and processing of metal & polymer, additively manufactured/3D printed builds. Job duties also include general maintenance, cleaning, organization of supplies, inventory control, and ERP/MES system documentation. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of metal (L-PBF) and polymer (FDM, SLA, SLS) printers to produce high-quality parts.
  • Execute post-processing tasks related to the production of additively manufactured parts (ex. operate blast cabinets, de-powdering stations, wire EDM, and more).
  • Perform regular maintenance of all 3D printers as well as associated support equipment.
  • Monitor print logs, log process control information, and ensure adherence to work instructions and specifications.
  • Inspect printed parts for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed to meet productions standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and housekeeping practices.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, print jobs, and material usage by leveraging our digital ERP/MES.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Management System documentation (Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, etc.).
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of additive manufacturing processes and techniques.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of additive manufacturing processes (FDM, SLA, SLS, L-PBF).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including document reading and file modification.
  • Familiarity with basic shop and hand tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to work independently and within a team.

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with metal (L-PBF) 3D printers.
  • Experience with polymer (FDM, SLA, SLS) 3D printers.
  • Knowledge of subtractive manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in CAD and/or CAM software.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment (ex. ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ITAR/EAR, etc.)

Salary

$24 - $30 per hour
