The Role 

RenewaFi is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to help shape the future of renewable energy finance. We are looking for an individual with a deep intellectual curiosity who can meaningfully impact our company and mission. You’ll help develop models that serve renewable energy professionals and delivery insights by collaborating with our Product, Engineering and Commercial specialists to gather, organize, and evaluate large datasets from various sources. 


The ideal candidate will be energized by the challenge of delivering valuable insights and products to renewable energy professionals in our community. You will be taught renewable energy finance so that you can combine industry knowledge with expertise in identifying, collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data. 


As an early member of our team, you will have a foundational impact on our approach to data analysis and our company culture. The decisions you make will be yours to see through, and the results of your work will be evident in weeks, not months. Your thoughts and opinions on our roadmap will be highly valued and instrumental in shaping the initiatives we pursue.

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience with quantitative modeling for renewable energy products. 
  • A strong foundational understanding of statistics. 
  • Experience with architecting data pipeline solutions, machine learning, and time-series analysis. 
  • Proficiency in Python and essential data analysis libraries. 
  • A fearless approach to finding and wrangling new data sources. 
  • Ability to create compelling visual representations of your data analyses. 
  • A commitment to continuous improvement in both your work and work environment. 


Nice to Haves 

  • You value open source and actively contribute to projects that pique your interest. 
  • Experience with renewable energy products, but experience with financial or energy products would also suffice. 
  • You sleep well at night knowing that your code is ‘well documented.’ 


Responsibilities 

  • Research, build, enhance, test and maintain energy financing models. 
  • Collaborate across teams to develop new products and discover valuable insights. 
  • Conduct descriptive and prescriptive analysis. 
  • Build models to expand our understanding of the data. 
  • Find, clean, and validate large datasets. 
  • Collect and incorporate data from various sources. 
  • Stay current on renewable energy markets and prioritize our clients' needs. 
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, always leaving the code and workspaces better than you found them.
