Renaissance Curls is an NYC based Natural Hair Salon, specializing in hair care for kinky, tightly coiled, and curly hair. Our goal is to make clients feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during their entire visit, and to provide them the education needed to manage their hair at home.

Our salon takes a team-based approach, so clients benefit from the expertise of multiple stylists during your visit. One may handle your wash, another may focus on treatments or prep, and another will bring your look to life with the final style or cut. By working together, we make sure every strand is cared for with the highest level of attention.

Please note, this role starts at $17/hr, with pay increase after a successful 90-day training period. 

If you love organizing people and systems, this role might be a great match for you. Renaissance Curls is a natural hair salon in Harlem that specializes in curly and coily hair care. We're looking for someone to help run the floor on weekends, and evenings on our busiest days. You'll be responsible for keeping things moving smoothly for our stylists and clients.

You'd be the point person for scheduling, day-to-day stylist support, and making sure every client has a great experience from the moment they walk in. You'd also help organize trainings and keep an eye on our weekly KPIs; you'll get to see the bigger picture of how the salon runs, not just the day-to-day.

Required Availability: Thurs and Friday Evenings, Weekends (Sat & Sun)

• Helping organize and coordinate staff trainings

Who this is a great fit for

• Someone with project management experience, including those looking for meaningful part-time or secondary income
• Someone comfortable with computers and new software — you don't need to know ClickUp already, but you should be someone who picks up new tools quickly and isn't afraid to dig in
• Someone with initiative — you notice problems and try to solve them before asking someone else to
• Someone who's available both Saturday and Sunday, consistently
• Bonus if you already have salon, beauty, or service industry experience — but it's not required
