Location: Perham, Wadena, and surrounding communities (In-home & Clinic-Based)

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time

Pay: $21.56 – $23.47 per hour + mileage reimbursement

Position Overview

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / EIDBI Level 2 Provider, you will deliver 1:1, play-based, and skill-building interventions to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions.

You will work under the supervision of a Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP) to implement individualized treatment plans that build communication, independence, and meaningful life skills across home, clinic, and community settings.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct, 1:1 ABA therapy services to clients
• Implement individualized treatment plans with high fidelity
• Teach critical skills including:
• Communication
• Daily living skills
• Social interaction
• Emotional and behavioral regulation
• Collect accurate session data to track progress and outcomes
• Collaborate with caregivers to support skill generalization
• Participate in ongoing supervision, coaching, and training
• Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging therapy environment
• Follow all ethical, clinical, and documentation standards

Qualifications

Required:

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One of the following:
• 1,000 hours of supervised experience with individuals with ASD or related conditions
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 60 days of hire
• Completion (or willingness to complete) DHS EIDBI 101 and Level II training
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently within structured protocols

Preferred:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience in ABA, early intervention, or human services
• RBT certification
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Multilingual or multicultural experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Services provided in homes, clinics, and community settings
• Active, play-based sessions requiring:
• Sitting on the floor
• Kneeling, bending, and movement
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and responsive during high-energy sessions
