Job Summary
The EIDBI Level 2 Provider delivers targeted early intervention services under the direction and supervision of a Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP) to individuals under 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related conditions. This role focuses on implementing behaviorally based interventions (ABA) within treatment plans and supporting the client’s developmental and functional goals across environments. Services are provided in-home, clinic, and community settings depending on clinical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 direct intervention services under the guidance of a QSP.
- Implement behaviorally-based therapeutic interventions and protocols as outlined in the individualized treatment plan.
- Support skill development in areas such as communication, daily living, social interaction, and behavior regulation.
- Accurately record data and maintain documentation to reflect client progress and session outcomes.
- Participate in training and supervision sessions to maintain fidelity of service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and team members to promote generalization of skills across settings.
- Support QSPs in implementing and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
- Ensure adherence to agency and DHS standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and structured therapeutic environment during sessions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of experience working with individuals with ASD or related conditions under supervision. OR
- RBT certification obtained within 60 days of hire
- Completion of DHS-approved EIDBI 101 and Level II Provider training.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to treatment protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Previous experience delivering ABA services or working in early intervention.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Multilingual or multicultural experience is a plus.
- RBT certification or willingness to pursue it.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is conducted in a variety of settings, including homes, clinics, and community environments.
- Requires frequent bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and engaging in physical play-based activities.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and manage physically active clients.
- Ability to remain patient and responsive in high-energy or behaviorally challenging sessions.
