Overview

The Fundraising Manager reports to the Principal and oversees the fundraising efforts for a portfolio of assigned clients. The Fundraising Manager provides supervision for assigned Fundraising Specialists in managing client call time, executing the digital fundraising program, and implementing campaign-specific finance plans. The Fundraising Manager is responsible for managing assigned client accounts and execution of contracted client deliverables.

The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and organizational skills and have some political campaign experience. Experience in North Carolina, Virginia, DC or Maryland is strongly preferred. The successful candidate desires a career position in a rapidly growing political firm.


What You’ll Do

In this position, you will manage call time, digital, event, and overall fundraising programs for your assigned client(s). You will develop and manage campaign finance plans, draft and approve copy for email, sms and direct mail fundraising solicitations, and manage client fundraising database(s). You will plan, build, and facilitate client fundraising events. You will supervise the Fundraising Specialist(s) to ensure all client deliverables are met in a timely fashion.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing and regularly updating campaign finance plans
  • Managing targeted donor lists and supervising client call time
  • Conducting donor research on prospective donors
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly fundraising reports for firm and clients
  • Managing client email, phone, and SMS inboxes
  • Drafting client fundraising emails, text messages, and direct mail letters
  • Managing fundraising event planning, execution and follow-up
  • Supervise assigned Fundraising Specialists
  • Owning client contract deliverables for assigned clients
  • Other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you must be extremely detail-oriented and self-motivated. You have demonstrated an ability to work collaboratively and individually in a fast paced environment. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you must be comfortable working with individuals from diverse groups and cultures. 


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years of related campaign, nonprofit or consulting experience
  • Strong and engaging interpersonal skills
  • Live in either Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, Richmond VA or be willing to relocate within a reasonable amount of time.


Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $68,000 - $72,000 annually commensurate with experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and communicate with others. On occasions, travel by car, train and airplane may be necessary. Work Environment

This is a full-time hybrid position in either our Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC or Richmond VA offices. Employees are expected to work in the office twice a week at minimum. Our office hours are generally Monday through Friday from 10am until 6pm ET, however the responsibilities of this position may require evening and weekend hours for client call time, meetings and events.
