The Sales and Business Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting business development initiatives and the day-to-day operations of a rapidly scaling investment manager. This multifaceted position will provide comprehensive sales, operations, investor relations and administrative support and be a core part of our team.

Description

Responsibilities 

 

·        Sales

·        Identify leads (based on target customer profile), research and qualify those leads 

·        Conduct outreach to those leads via multiple channels, primarily LinkedIn and email 

·        Design and improve upon email templates in our CRM system (Hubspot) that can be customized to run lead generation at scale 

·        Draft personalized emails that demonstrate thoughtfulness, intention, and professionalism based on research of mutual connections, focus of work, research published, organization’s priorities, etc. 

·        Run sales outreach campaigns on the CRM system – gathering data, analyzing results, and improving campaigns

·        Respond to any positive lead responses and set up meetings

·        Prepare bios and background research for the meetings

·        Update marketing materials (presentation, website, databases) on a monthly or quarterly basis

·        Investor Relations

·        Manage response to investor inquiries, leveraging all available resources in the firm

·        Collaborate with team to prepare drafts of due diligence questionnaires or reports

·        Confirm investor data completed by service providers prior to submitting to investors

·        Operations

·        Assist with various data entry and performance reporting tasks and maintain accurate records of important information on Excel spreadsheets

·        Process payments to vendors and service providers

·        Provide support on various operations and compliance projects and assignments

·        Administration

·        Manage and coordinate schedules, including arranging internal and external meetings

·        Take meeting minutes and distribute to attendees as needed

·        Provide support of ad-hoc administrative initiatives (e.g. Planning offsites, travel schedules, etc.)


Qualifications

 

·        Excellent written English – work done 100% in English

·        Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of working experience either in a sales role, communications, or investment company operations/sales support 

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications

·        Analytical, likes to look at data and use the data to improve sales strategies 

·        An entrepreneurial spirit – resourceful in finding facts, data, and contact information on the web and publicly available sources 

·        Honest, positive, and mature personality that is additive to an entrepreneurial, collaborative, team-oriented organization 

·        Self-starter, able to self-manage tasks and projects yet know when to ask for help

·        Organized, good project manager capable of running and improving repeatable processes

·        Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

·        Demonstrates good judgment in communicating to our clients with professionalism

Salary

$50,000 - $70,000 per year
