About This Position:
We are looking for an FUN and organized Summer Camp Assistant Teacher to assist in our elementary program (ages 5–10) for the summer. This role is ideal for recent graduates, college students, or retirees looking for part time work.
- Duration: May 26th – July 23rd (Seasonal)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1pm - 6pm
- Future Growth: While this is a summer position, we have immediate openings for the upcoming school year and would love to offer a permanent position to the right candidate following the summer program.

Requirements:
- Must Be At Least 18 Years of Age.
- Demonstrated success working a classroom of elementary-aged children (5–10 years old).
- Active church membership and a commitment to living out a life of faith as a role model to students.
- No Criminal Record.
- Certified in CPR & First Aid.
- Knowledge of Bright from the Start Licensing Rules & Regulations.
- Strong communication skills for daily parent interaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create a Christ-centered environment where children can grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially through mentorship and guided activities.
- Assist with all daily functions of the Summer Camp classroom, ensuring a structured, safe, and high-energy environment with minimal disruptions.
- Implement RCA’s summer curriculum, facilitating age-appropriate games, lessons, and projects that keep 5–10 year olds engaged and learning.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents, providing professional and encouraging updates on their child’s progress and daily experiences.
- Observe all rules and regulations at Redstone Children's Academy and state/national regulatory agencies regarding the health and safety of school-aged children.
- Oversee all students during transitions, outdoor play, and activities, maintaining a constant "safety-first" mindset.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and vibrant classroom that reflects a high standard of excellence and care.
- Adhere to the RCA Staff Handbook regarding appearance, attendance, and collaborative teamwork.
- Assist in other capacities as determined by the Director to ensure the success of the Summer Camp program.
