Exciting things are happening at RCA! This year, we are expanding our team and adding a dedicated Daycare Resource Teacher (Floater) to support all of our classrooms, ensure our students have continuous care, and give our teaching teams the flexibility they need to thrive throughout the day.

We are looking to fill this position immediately with the hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday.
Requirements:
- Must Be At Least 18 Years of Age
- At Least 1 Year of Experience Working in Childcare
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (CDA or Early Childhood credentials preferred)
- No Criminal Record
- Certified in CPR & First Aid
- Knowledge of Bright from the Start Licensing Rules & Regulations
- Active Church Membership
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspire Faith: Promote a Christ-centered environment across all classrooms where children can develop to their fullest potential—spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.
- Adaptable Classroom Support: Seamlessly step into any classroom (Infants through Pre-K) to assist lead teachers, cover lunch breaks, or lead classroom activities as assigned.
- Lead with Care: Assist in the overall supervision, care, and daily functions in whichever room you are stationed for the day or hour.
- Nurture Growth: Adapt quickly to different age groups and utilize daily routines and cues to respond to each child's individual physical and emotional needs.
- Teach & Engage: Help implement RCA's curriculum by assisting with research-based, pre-planned, developmentally appropriate activities across all age levels.
- Track Milestones: Accurately record daily care info for children in your care, including meal times, naps, diapering/potty training, and learning activities.
- Build Relationships: Engage in professional and God-honoring communication with staff, leadership, and parents/guardians.
- Safety First: Observe all rules and regulations at Redstone Children's Academy and local/state regulatory agencies across all early childhood environments.
- Create a Sanctuary: Help maintain clean, attractive, and well-kept environments in any classroom you support to ensure children feel safe to explore and grow.
- Maintain Operations: Assist with midday sanitization, meal prep distribution, reset procedures between classroom activities, and general facility upkeep as needed.
- Represent RCA: Maintain an overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines in the RCA Staff Handbook.
- Be a Team Player: Assist in other capacities that the Director determines necessary to keep the academy running smoothly.
