About This Position

Exciting things are happening at RCA! This year, we are expanding our team and adding a brand-new position to every single classroom. We are bringing on a dedicated 3rd Teacher/Closer for each room to ensure our students have maximum support and our teachers have the perfect teammate to finish the day strong.

Because this is a brand-new initiative, we are looking to fill this position across all age groups—from our sweet infants all the way through preschool! If you have a specific age group you love, let us know!

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (25 hours/week) — the perfect afternoon schedule!

Requirements:

• Must Be At Least 18 Years of Age
• At Least 1 Year of Experience Working in Childcare
• No Criminal Record
• Certified in CPR & First Aid
• Knowledge of Bright from the Start Licensing Rules & Regulations
• Active Church Membership

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inspire Faith: Promote a Christ-centered environment where children can develop to their fullest potential—spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.
• Lead with Care: Assist in the overall supervision, care, and daily functions in your classroom.
• Nurture Growth: Utilize daily routines and cues to respond to each child's individual physical and emotional needs.
• Teach & Engage: Implement RCA's curriculum with our research-based, pre-planned, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Track Milestones: Record all daily care info for each child including meal-times, naps, and learning activities.
• Build Relationships: Engage in professional and God-honoring communication with each child's parent/guardian each day.
• Safety First: Observe all rules and regulations at Redstone Children's Academy and local/state regulatory agencies.
• Create a Sanctuary: Maintain a clean, attractive, well-kept classroom that ensures children feel safe to explore and grow.
• End-of-Day Prep: Execute deep cleaning and sanitization of the classroom each evening to ensure a fresh, organized space for the next morning.
• Represent RCA: Maintain an overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines in the RCA Staff Handbook.
• Be a Team Player: Assist in other capacities that the Director determines necessary.
