Purpose                                                                                                                                             

The purpose of the Red Aspen’s Product Strategy team is to concept, develop and launch consumable, playful, and compelling products to inclusively support the businesses of all Red Aspen Brand Ambassadors and Affiliates. The Junior Product Strategist will manage and drive the day-to-day product development process for our branded merchandise, from conceptualization through launch for Red Aspen, a startup direct sales DTC beauty brand. 


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Lead all phases of Branded Merchandise, including product concepting, sample development, quality testing, and product packaging 
  • Assist with completion of tasks for Skincare, Makeup and other product verticals
  • Research and identify prospective suppliers for different product verticals; request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
  • Discover, analyze, interpret and present trends or patterns in new product research 
  • Collaborate with copywriters to develop and communicate compelling product stories through packaging copy
  • Coordinate and manage packaging with graphic designers
  • Monitor and maintain on-time delivery of critical project milestones, ensure timely product launches, understand trade offs along development process while simultaneously delivering high quality and high performance products
  • Lead activities related to supplier relationship management
  • Partner with Creative, Digital Marketing, Sales, and Graphic Design to bring product to market 


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Communications, or relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, or project management. Apparel and accessory sourcing is a plus.
  • Experience in relationship building and management with domestic or international suppliers
  • Strong communication skills that will allow for effective oral and written communication with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once through strong prioritization and planning with extreme attention to detail & task orientation
  • Ability to bring both a creative and analytical approach to the work 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite applications
  • Ability to be inclusive, curious, and persistent throughout their work
  • Ability to adapt to constantly evolving business circumstances and environment
  • Comfortable with a level of autonomy and ability to take on challenges
