About the Senior Accountant role:  

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of demonstrating grit and determination in their professional history and will show a keen interest in growing professionally through their contributions to a focused team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and management, supporting the company’s strategic expansion into new territories.  


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Month-End Close Process: Manage the month-end close process under Controller oversight. The expectation is that the individual will be capable of handling this process largely independently once familiar with our procedures.  


  • Rhythmic Reporting: Prepare highly accurate monthly and quarterly reporting packages for management review.  


  • Accounting Policy Recommendations: Conduct thorough research, provide clear explanations, and document accounting policy decisions to ensure compliance and support business operations.  


  • Bill and Expense Management: Manage Accounts Payable, Card, and Expense Management processes, ensuring accurate general ledger and business-unit level reporting.  


  • Commission Administration: Administer commission compensation data entry to ensure complete and accurate commission payments to Ready Rebound employees. This involves accurate management of a commission compensation data model and timely coordination with the Head of HR.  


  • Payroll Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll reports produced by HR. This task will be performed in close coordination with the Controller and Head of HR to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.  


  • SALT Obligations: Research and determine state and local tax (SALT) obligations for Ready Rebound in both existing and new territories as the business expands its operations. This includes staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.  


  • Business Administration Topics: Provide administrative assistance to the business for insurance, business fees, minority-owned business filings, and other relevant support.  


  • Business License Management: Work with the VP of Contracts and Special Projects to manage the business license requirements of Ready Rebound, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and timely renewals.  


  • Financial Systems Administration: Administer financial systems, including QuickBooks, Divvy, and Prior experience using these systems or administering other financial systems is preferred.  


  • Structured Business Research: Conduct structured research within Ready Rebound, engaging peers, superiors, customers, vendors, and secondary sources to gather data and insights for making intelligent and informed business decisions.  


Requirements and Minimum Experience: 

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of operational accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.  


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidates on the CPA track are strongly preferred.  


Skills and Competencies:  

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.  
  • Strong research and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex accounting decisions.  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential for successful work with various departments.  
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as QuickBooks, Divvy, and Prior experience with these or similar systems is preferred.
