Who We’re Looking For:

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief of Operations Officer to join our rapidly growing manufacturing company as we scale our operations. The ideaL candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing manufacturing processes in a high-growth environment. As an integral member of our team, you will have a lot of personal drive, excitement, and curiosity to streamline our daily operations while implementing strategic initiatives. The most successful candidate for this role will operate from a center of high-integrity, have a high EQ while being balanced with a logical, process driven mindset in order to align operational processes with values. In terms of scaling our business, this person will thrive on the challenges of optimizing our operational excellence, mitigating our operational risks, coordinate product manufacturing and delivery, while allocating resources to meet strategic objectives. As a right hand person to our Founder and CEO, this person will be integral to allowing our Founder to focus on product, customers, and sales while directly supporting our other core operations and keeping us accountable to our company wide KPI’s. Equally impactful, is an individual that is a hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves (without an assistant) mentality suited for an early-stage company who has an adaptable and strategic mindset and is results-oriented with a bias for action and urgency.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

·     Collaborates with the CEO in engaging with the Board of Directors to inform and facilitate governance and fiduciary oversight functions by providing input on meeting agendas and presentation of materials.

·     Provides appropriate leadership for the organization, and partners with the CEO in cultivating the culture and fostering teamwork. 

·     Collaborates with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and revenue generating philosophy.

·     Effectively communicates the vision, management philosophy, and organizational strategy to Re-Nuble’s employees, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

·     Strategically manages, organizes, and coordinates employees from different departments and locations to ensure efficiency.

·     Collaborates with the CEO to ensure active recruitment, development and retention of qualified & committed employees, motivating and inspiring them to embrace Re-Nuble’s values and vision.

·     In partnership with the CEO, ensures clarity of objectives, sets clear performance standards, and monitors key organizational indicators.

·     Serves as a role model, leading courageously and upholding Re-Nuble values.

·     Serves as an advisor to the CEO and as a role model/mentor to other staff members.

 

Operations and Technology

·     Develops actionable business strategies, objectives, and plans that ensure alignment with the short and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO.

·     Oversees company operations, project timelines, business developments, and employee productivity while building a highly inclusive culture to ensure team members thrive.

·     Assesses and implements improved processes and new technologies and collaborates with the management team.

·     Responsible for client retention activities and engagement strategies.

·     Collects and analyzes data for implications regarding budget, project and/or program initiatives.

 

Programs and Activities

·     Oversees the development of Re-Nuble’s client and stakeholder education and

 

advocacy programs and strategic partnerships.

·     Fosters innovative and impactful programming, supporting Re-Nuble’s position of exemplary leadership in the regional, national, and international organic sectors.

·     Supports the CEO in charting the course for new revenue development through social enterprises that serve Re-Nuble’s mission by ensuring standards of excellence in client attraction, retention, and delivery of services.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

·     Develop and foster strategic relationships with key partners.

·     Builds and maintains relationships with other professionals and organizations in the industry.

 

Operational Excellence

·     Translates strategy into actionable steps by establishing organizational-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.

·     Optimizes the company’s operating capabilities to maximize client satisfaction and achieve organizational goals.

·     Responsible for increasing internal organization focus on operational excellence by utilizing key organizational indicators (KOIs) to drive efficiency and profitability while maintaining high-quality and high-integrity service.

·     Empowers Re-Nuble’s teams to achieve operational excellence through optimization of client service delivery and cross collaboration in a highly regulatory environment.

·     Appraises and evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and reports these results to the CEO.

 

Fiscal Management

·     Budget development and financial oversight for Certification, Partnerships and Programs (Education/Advocacy), and Communications and Marketing in chart of accounts.

·     Ensures effective implementation of strategies with timely progress towards objectives, including short-term and long-term growth, impact and financial goals.

·     Obtains and allocates resources consistent with strategic objectives and makes timely adjustments in strategies when market conditions and other forces, including the competitive environment, demand a change.

 

Location and Schedule:

·     Hybrid model – remote with 2 days a week in-person at New Lab in Brooklyn, NY

·     Full-time, Monday through Friday with flexible hours (typically 9am-5pm)

 

Qualifications and Skills:

·     Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar field

·     Minimum of ten years’ relevant professional experience

·     Strong financial acument and experience managing budgets and P&L

·     Outstanding leaderhsip and team-building abilities

·     Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·     Experience implementing and optimizing ERP systems

·     Strong knowledge of lean manufactruing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

·     Proven track record of scaling operations in a high-growth manufacturing environment

·     Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

·     Excellent communicator in written and verbal form

·     Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity

·     Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives

·     Proven ability to develop and implement new systems as required by growth and changes in the industry

·     Proven ability to make decisions of significance, exercise authority, work independently and as a highly contributing team member

Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 base salary plus performance bonus. Salary is commensurate with experience.
