We are on the hunt for self-motivated Senior engineers who are intentionally seeking an opportunity to work side by side with our project team on high, medium and low voltage utility projects.

You’ll get to work with a dynamic team on transmission and distribution line design projects, including 3-D modeling, structure design, construction package development, routing studies, field investigations and more with clients across the country, meaning you get to employ relevant code across all 50 states.


A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE:

  • Planning, directing and coordinating civil/structural engineering design activities including working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products for the construction of electric transmission line facilities.
  • Coordinating project schedules and budgets.
  • Performing a civil/structural engineering analysis for a transmission facility for one of our cross-country projects.
  • Helping to develop a contract, technical specification, and/or a drawing bid package.
  • Meeting with an entry level engineer to provide technical assistance or insight.
  • Spending time with a client, communicating about a project and growing and developing the relationship in a meaningful way
  • Interacting with staff, the general public, officials and contractors
  • Preparing a report or engaging in a special project

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School
  • 6+ years of experience in transmission utility work
  • PE License required
  • Experience in distribution lines is a plus
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD required
  • Top notch collaboration skills as a part of a project team

Salary

$80,000 - $125,000 per year
