DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?


We are on the hunt for self-motivated Engineers who are intentionally seeking an opportunity to work side by side with our project team on high, medium and low-voltage utility projects. You’ll get to work on various aspects of transmission and distribution line design, including 3-D modeling, structure design, construction package development, routing studies, field investigations and more with clients across the country. You will have the opportunity to see a project you’ve worked on all the way through to the construction phase, which means that travel to client sites will be required (and that excites you!)


A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE:


  • Planning, directing, and coordinating civil/structural engineering design activities for the construction of electric transmission line facilities.
  • Establishes and performs civil/structural engineering analyses for transmission facilities.
  • Helps coordinate project schedules and budgets.
  • Helps support the development of contracts, technical specifications, and drawing bid packages.
  • Maintain outstanding current company-client relationships and expand company relationships to other utilities and consultancies.
  • Provide technical assistance and training for entry-level engineers.
  • Must possess good interpersonal and people skills.
  • Interaction with staff, the general public, officials and contractors.
  • Maintain high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization.
  • Prepare proposals and identify future projects to bid on.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School
  • 8+ years of experience in transmission utility work
  • Experience in distribution design a plus
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD required
  • Experience in Microsoft office is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • PE license and/or PMP is preferred

Salary

$115,000 - $150,000 per year
