PsychPointe is seeking a flexible, dependable PRN Nurse to support our outpatient behavioral health clinics on an as-needed basis. The primary focus of this role is serving as a clinical scribe for our psychiatric providers and supporting medication workflows — medication histories, reconciliation, patient education, and administration of medications within the Nursing scope of practice. As PsychPointe launches additional services, this role may expand to broader PRN clinic nursing duties. This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed hours; shifts are offered based on clinic volume, provider schedules, and coverage needs, and includes other duties as needed.

Responsibilities
- Serve as clinical scribe for psychiatric providers: document visits in real time in the EHR and pend orders, refills, and referrals for provider review and signature.
- Prepare charts in advance of visits, including history, prior notes, labs, and screening/rating-scale results.
- Obtain medication histories and complete medication reconciliation at each visit.
- Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, per provider orders and within RN scope; monitor and document patient response.
- Provide medication education and support refill and prior-authorization workflows.
- Complete vitals, standardized screenings, and suicide risk screening; escalate clinical concerns to the provider.
- Maintain accurate, timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation and audit-ready records.
- Take on additional PRN clinic nursing duties as new services launch; perform other duties as needed.
Required and Desired Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse license in the State of Texas (or compact state with multistate privilege) required.
- Minimum two (2) years of Nursing experience required.
- Behavioral health, mental health, or substance use disorder experience strongly preferred.
- Current BLS certification required; de-escalation certification within 90 days of hire.
- Strong EHR and clinical documentation skills; scribing experience helpful but not required.
- Competency and comfort administering injections, including long-acting injectables.
- Flexibility and reliability for as-needed scheduling across PsychPointe outpatient locations.
