We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Manager of Community Health to join our growing team and lead our health service programs. Under the direction of the Director of Programs, the Manager of Community Health provides strategic leadership for the implementation of health programs at RaisingHealth. This leader will be the external-facing champion of the Community Health Department and will strategize with community partners to harness resources and meet the needs of the community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops a strategy and outreach plan to ensure greater equity and access to healthcare and related education for the underserved, immigrant population in the Sunset Park community.
- Supervises, develops, and builds the capacity of the Community Health Partners (CHPs) and provides mentoring and support to other members of the interdisciplinary team. Supports administrative procedures that facilitate CHP's role, such as following up on supply requisitions, etc.
- Partners with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address barriers to community health issues. Coordinates with the team to share, discuss, and find common solutions for challenges faced by the Sunset Park community.
- Coordinates special community events such as health assessments, dental clinics, flu vaccination clinics, or other services as determined by CHPs, the Sunset Park community, and other partnered stakeholders.
- Conducts community outreach initiatives to educate the community about healthy living practices, disease prevention, etc.
- Develops and tracks indicators regarding the community health program; Prepares relevant reports and distributes them accordingly.
- Represents RaisingHealth’s health advocacy platforms with city, state, and community leadership. Identify and develop opportunities to meet, collaborate, and build relationships with a variety of community partners, including informal and formal learning providers and environments.
- Works with Senior leadership to monitor program budgets and project expenses.
- Advances RaisingHealth’s mission, philosophy, and commitment to the community by embracing these values and demonstrating them in everyday activities.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience of demonstrated proficiency developing in implementing activities in humanitarian/development contexts in the following technical areas: community health, with proven experience working with community volunteers, health committees, and community engagement. Solid knowledge of the implementation of community-based approaches.
- Bachelor’s degree in health or community health-related field; Medical, nursing, or master’s degree in public health, community health, health promotion, social and behavior change, or other health-related field is highly preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Demonstrated success in all project management-related responsibilities, including: program planning; work planning and budgeting; financial, administrative, contractual management and supervision; capacity building.
- Ability to empathize, advocate, and represent the needs of the community served by RaisingHealth. Prior experience supporting the population served is highly preferred.
- Bilingual language skills in Spanish and/or Mandarin are highly preferred.
- Computer literate. Excellent command of the MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
