The Role
As a Lead Daycare Teacher, you will oversee the daily activities and development of children in our care. You will create lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children. Your leadership will help foster a love for learning and promote social and emotional growth among our students.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff in the classroom.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and needs.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Organize and participate in activities that promote physical, social, and emotional growth.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young children in an educational or daycare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Early Childhood Education certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with special needs children or diverse populations.
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards and regulations.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
