Description

Rae of Hope is hiring a clinician for our Section 65 Home and Community Treatment (HCT) program. This role brings treatment into children’s homes and communities, where you can help families work through challenges as they happen and practice skills within everyday routines.

You’ll partner with a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to provide coordinated treatment to children and their caregivers. We’re looking for someone who can build trust, understand the needs behind behavior, and support caregivers who may feel overwhelmed or unsure what to try next.

What you’ll do

  • Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with children, caregivers, and their treatment teams.
  • Provide individual and family interventions that address emotional and behavioral needs, strengthen relationships, and improve functioning.
  • Help caregivers understand their child’s needs and develop practical strategies for communication, co-regulation, and responding to challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate closely with the assigned BHP to connect clinical interventions with skill practice between sessions.
  • Provide clinical direction to the BHP within your assigned role and scope of practice.
  • Assess risk, develop individualized safety plans, and coordinate crisis supports when needed.
  • Coordinate with schools, case managers, medical providers, and other supports, with appropriate consent.
  • Monitor progress, review treatment plans, and adjust interventions based on the family’s needs and response to treatment.
  • Plan for transitions and discharge, including connections to ongoing services and natural supports.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in Alleva and follow MaineCare Section 65 requirements and agency policies.
  • Participate in supervision, consultation, team meetings, and required training.

What we’re looking for

  • Current Maine clinical licensure that qualifies you to provide Section 65 HCT services, with practice and supervision consistent with your license.
  • Experience providing therapy to children and families.
  • Strong skills in family engagement, clinical assessment, treatment planning, and safety planning.
  • A trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach that respects each family’s strengths, identity, and choices.
  • Ability to collaborate with a BHP while maintaining clear roles and consistent treatment direction.
  • Strong communication, organization, professional boundaries, and follow-through.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to provide services in homes and community settings.
  • Availability that aligns with family needs, including [afternoon/evening hours, if applicable].
  • Ability to complete required background checks and training.

Preferred experience: Home-based treatment, family therapy, caregiver coaching, trauma treatment, and working with children who have complex emotional or behavioral needs.
