Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Position Summary Rae of Hope, LLC is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavioral assessment, treatment planning, consultation, and clinical oversight for children and adolescents receiving behavioral health services. The BCBA is responsible for developing individualized, evidence-based behavioral interventions; monitoring client progress through ongoing data collection and analysis; and supporting Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs), supervisors, caregivers, and other team members in consistently implementing treatment recommendations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining clinical quality, strengthening staff competency, supporting positive outcomes for children and families, and ensuring that behavioral services remain medically necessary, ethical, goal-directed, and aligned with each client’s treatment plan.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Position Summary

Rae of Hope, LLC is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavioral assessment, treatment planning, consultation, and clinical oversight for children and adolescents receiving behavioral health services.

The BCBA is responsible for developing individualized, evidence-based behavioral interventions; monitoring client progress through ongoing data collection and analysis; and supporting Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs), supervisors, caregivers, and other team members in consistently implementing treatment recommendations.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining clinical quality, strengthening staff competency, supporting positive outcomes for children and families, and ensuring that behavioral services remain medically necessary, ethical, goal-directed, and aligned with each client’s treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and other behavioral evaluations within the BCBA’s scope of practice
  • Develop individualized behavior support plans and intervention strategies that are:
  • Evidence-based

  • Establish measurable goals, objectives, and data-collection procedures
  • Analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions based on client progress, treatment response, and emerging needs
  • Provide clinical consultation and behavioral guidance to BHPs, Section 28 Supervisors, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Train and coach staff and caregivers in the consistent implementation of behavior support plans
  • Conduct direct observations in home, community, office, school, or other approved settings
  • Support treatment fidelity by monitoring how behavioral strategies are implemented across environments
  • Participate in the development and review of individualized treatment plans
  • Review relevant documentation and data to ensure services remain clinically appropriate and goal-directed
  • Provide recommendations regarding reinforcement strategies, skill acquisition, environmental supports, de-escalation, and replacement behaviors
  • Promote the use of positive, least-restrictive, and dignity-centered behavioral interventions
  • Identify clinical concerns, safety risks, or the possible need for additional assessment or a higher level of care and communicate those concerns appropriately
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, caregiver meetings, and care coordination efforts
  • Assist with staff onboarding, behavioral training, competency development, and ongoing clinical education
  • Collaborate with licensed clinicians while remaining within the BCBA’s professional scope of practice
  • Support adherence to HIPAA, mandated-reporting requirements, ethical standards, and agency policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities
  • Maintain all required documentation within agency and payer timelines

Qualifications

Required:


  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Master’s degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, education, special education, or a related field
  • Current Maine licensure or eligibility to obtain and maintain all credentials required to practice as a behavior analyst in Maine
  • Experience conducting behavioral assessments and developing individualized behavior support plans
  • Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral, developmental, or mental health needs
  • Knowledge of ethical and evidence-based behavior-analytic practices
  • Ability to complete timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:


  • Experience working within MaineCare-funded or community-based behavioral health services
  • Experience supporting Section 28 services and supervising or consulting with BHP staff
  • Experience working collaboratively with families, schools, clinicians, case managers, and other service providers
  • Experience with trauma-informed and assent-based approaches to behavioral care
  • Familiarity with MaineCare documentation, medical-necessity, and compliance requirements
  • Experience training staff and caregivers in behavioral strategies and data collection

Work Environment

This is a per diem position that may include a combination of remote work, office-based work, and community-based consultation. Travel within the service area may be required to conduct observations, support staff, meet with families, and assess client needs across environments.
